A very pleasant stay in a beautiful village.

We were in the smallest room of the establishment yet it provided us with all the necessary comfort: space for 2 cabin size suitcases and 2 tables on which to organize belongings as well as a small cupboard and a very functional bathroom with toiletries. Breakfast on the terrace was also good. The manager was very helpful.

It is located at the other end of the village, probably the last hotel. Having said that, it makes the location quiet which is very pleasant. After the square and church the path is very rocky and slippery and not suitable for people who are not fully mobile. We are in our 70's and we managed although it was difficult. We were very grateful to the manager who assisted us when we left and carried our bags to the square for us. We were disappointed that our room was not cleaned during the second day of our stay. Wifi didn't really work.

An excellent choice for the able-bodied

1. Kind and helpful staff. 2. Fantastic views of Volos and the Pagasetic Gulf (from the seaside rooms and the breakfast terrace) 3. Very clean 4. Prompt service when required 5. 3-foot thick walls 6. Beautifully decorated, lots of carved wooden items 7. Felt secure, we had keys to 3 different doors.

1. The directions I received on my mobile phone were difficult to follow because each photo came in a separate email, so I got confused as to where I was in the process, and also because the sun on the screen made the images difficult to impossible to make out. We got confused and had to call for help (which came immediately). I realize it's challenging to guide strangers through a village without streetsigns. 2. The guesthouse is located at the top of a steep path "paved" with old stones, very uneven and with some fairly slippery stones. It must be navigated with extreme care. Not for the frail elderly or mobility-challenged guests! (Very picturesque though) i think it could be really treacherous under ice and snow (we came in August.) 3. In the middle of the fast preceding the Ascension, there were no meat/egg/dairy-free breakfast options other than bread. (Maybe they would have produced something had we asked.) 4. Our room, "Phaedra", must be a converted closet or storeroom. The top of the door is about 5'2" high, making an accident quite likely. By taking extreme care, we escaped this fate, which would surely have put a damper on our Pilion stay! Also, it was quite hot with only one very narrow window which did not catch any of the cool breezes which came in on the landing and into our friends' room downstairs, which had not one but two standard windows. No view to speak of; just a tree. If you look hard, you can make out a bit of mountaintop.

Nice, quiet and romantic place to stay with Very nice personnel. Very Good breakfests with home made food. And again, Very nice and helpfull personnel :)

It is little bit far from parking, but you can easy take it by walk in 10 minutes.
